In product liability cases, it is not always obvious who is responsible for
product defects that can cause injuries. Manufacturers, their suppliers,
distributors, or retailers may be at fault.
If a manufacturer is responsible, a primary question is whether the defect
resulted from a design flaw or a manufacturing problem.
